Men's Shoes
It's said that the value and wealth of a man is judged by three parts of their visuals - the
shoes, watch and glasses. And perhaps not surprisingly, men tend to pay a lot of attention to these accessories
when shopping for them.
However, it's also not rare to spot someone who just doesn't seem
to have the most basic idea of how to organize their clothing in an attractive manner. To avoid being that guy,
there are some simple guidelines you can follow - and even though it may not be enough to help you build your
own style, following these pieces of advice can at least ensure that you don't look like you randomly picked up
the first pair of men's shoes you saw in the store.
First and most importantly, the size. This can be a tricky one to get right. Don't
go for the ones that fit your shoe closely and tightly - your body grows over time, even if by little. That
pair of shoes which fits you so nicely right now may end up squeezing your foot a few months down the
line.
Make sure you leave just a little bit of room between your fingers
and the tip of the shoe, so that you can freely wiggle your thumb and index finger around. This will ensure that
the shoes will keep fitting you for years to come, while also giving you a bit more comfort for the time
being.
Don't be afraid to spend a little more than you had planned, too -
remember that men's shoes are a long-term purchase and you should invest well in them, unless you want to keep
having to buy new pairs every few months or so. Men have it easier than women in the sense that their shoes can
more easily match different styles of clothing, so you won't have to buy as many pairs as a woman
does.
Remember that proper maintenance is important as well, even if
it's a pair of house shoes for
men. That pair of $300 men's shoes can easily look like they cost no more than $50 if you're
careless in handling them.
Clean and polish them regularly, be careful not to bruise them and
always store them in a box when you're putting them away for longer periods of time. It's very easy to ruin a
quality pair of men's shoes through carelessness, so don't let it happen by any means!
